Shotcrete is an essential component of ground support in most underground mines and tunnels. Demands for sustainability, safety, and price control have presented new challenges for suppliers, contractors, and specifiers involved with this material. The evolution of shotcrete technology, plus the large number of new people in the industry, has heightened the need for an update on new products, processes, and methods related to shotcrete application available within the industry. In response to these demands, the Australian Shotcrete Society has organised a one-day seminar to be held on August 16, 2023, at the Ibis Hotel, Perth. The workshop will cover a range of topics related to shotcrete for underground support in Australian mines and tunnel. The format will include six lectures with open sessions to allow questions and discussions to be raised. Lunch and teat breaks will be included. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

The cost for attendance at the workshop is $300 per delegate. The Australian Shotcrete Society is not registered for GST so GST is not applicable on seminar fees. The society is affiliated with Engineers Australia and attendance at the workshop will count as toward Continuing Professional Development. Accommodation is available at the Ibis Hotel, and numerous nearby establishments. The cost of accommodation is not included in the cost for attendance.
